Pharmy is an online pharmacy offering over-the-counter treatments, pharmacy consultations, and NHS prescriptions. The aim of this project was to redesign the homepage for desktop and mobile to create a clearer, more trustworthy, and more user-friendly e-commerce experience.
Research from the existing site highlighted several issues:
Navigation felt overwhelming and unclear
Users struggled to find products and key information
Trust signals (NHS approval, registration) were not obvious
The consultation process was confusing
Too many colours and inconsistent visuals
Users lost interest due to long, cluttered pages
I designed a modern, responsive homepage focused on clarity, trust, and conversion by:
Simplifying navigation and product discovery
Introducing clear NHS and pharmacy trust indicators
Explaining the consultation process with a simple 3-step flow
Refining the colour palette and typography for accessibility
Making key actions (search, basket, support, delivery info) immediately visible
Highlighting discounts, next-day delivery, and customer reviews

To address missed commercial opportunities:
First-time purchase discounts are clearly promoted
Delivery speed (“Next-day delivery”) is visible on products
Product cards show availability at a glance
CTAs are consistent and easy to scan
These changes help users move from browsing to checkout more confidently.
We made sure the design system is built well in order to ensure consistency.
